I am digging it out from the garage now the weather is less horrific and will get some riding in I think; had a few short rides on it and it’s lovely and fast 👍

I had a go once and it was an unmitigated failure….unless you have good weather and somewhere well ventilated (and a good level of skill that I did not possess), I would say go to the pros at Argos; the finish they did is fantastic 👍

91 team Marin sounds awesome!! I went for a 90mm stem, but could get away with a 100mm. The frame is a 15.5 inch and I am 5 foot 8 inches and fits me well. The slightly shorter stem doesn’t mess with it at all; feels nice and balanced. Good luck with yours; my brother and I agree the 91 Team...

And he is finished! Cabled up and ready to ride (when it’s nice weather). May still get some gloss black dmr V8 Classic pedals, but that is something to think on another day

A few bits added on today; front and rear mechs, sugino cranks on with a rather cool middleburn granny ring, and the shifter/brake levers are on, with front brake set up with some kool stop eagle 2 pads. Also the saddle, which whilst modern, is comfy and I like the look of the shorter nosed...

great frameset; I think that is the best colour way they ever did for the team Marin. Good luck with the restoration!

They were done by the in house design team at Argos Racing for this project; as a result though they now have them on file so they can use again for any other team marin restorations 👍
