Thanks very much that’s really helpful. £1350 is a lot of money now, let alone in 1996 and it shows that if you can find a good one today, you can pick up a cracking bike for a fraction of the original price. I honestly didn’t think I paid £600 for my Koa, but it has repaid me many times over...

Thanks yes, I’ve spotted the US and German price lists and I’m sure I’ve seen the UK price list at some point in the past, but can’t seem to find it now.

Can anyone please tell me the 1996 UK retail price of a Kona Kula in 1996? I know that they were way outside my budget at the time, meaning I opted for a Koa instead, which I still own and is still going strong and which I think I paid £400. Thanks any help appreciated!

Yep! 🤣 but as someone said earlier in this thread, at least they are cheaper and easier to store than than classic cars, that’s what I’ll keep telling myself anyway!

I was only saying the other day to a friend that I have a bit of a ‘Kona problem’, he reassured me that it isn’t a problem, try telling that to my wife! A few more pics of the Kula attached for your delectation!

I feel your pain, I’ve just picked up a rather special 96 Kula, to add to the other 5 Kona’s in the garage!

Thanks Specialized seemed to enjoy swapping the decals around on their bikes between the top tube and the down tube, to keep people on their toes!

Hi, I‘m looking for 1996 Kona Kula 18 Inch (frame only) in top original condition. I don’t know how many were made, or if there are any still out there, but if anyone does have one in excellent original condition which they’d be prepared to part with then I’d very much like to hear from you! thanks
