7 and 8 speed clutch rear mechs!

yes T2 is 7 speed, T3 is 8 speed. I just saw on their website that the "T" series (the ones with clutches) are designated as 1x only, it's the "A" series that is for 1x/2x/3x, but they don't have a clutch... I can't see why the "T" models wouldn't work with a double chainring, so long as there...

7 and 8 speed clutch rear mechs!

I only just saw these - ltwoo make mtb rear mechs with a clutch for 7 speeds and up! Posting here as clutch tech is "modern", but might be better in pre-98 as it relates to 7 and 8 speed? Anyone tried them? I think I will order an 8 speed version for my Yates - seems to be standard Shimano cable...

    Dealing with reluctant measurers..

Is it that they just don't want to, or have no idea? I have sometimes just asked for bb-saddle tip, saddle tip to bars, and BB to bars. Only works if a complete bike, but gives a good idea of if I can make it work

    Bling bling

Too blingy for me, but doesn't seem that expensive compared to high end modern carbon bikes!

    Colnago Precisa Forks, Salvageable?

Hard to tell from the pics - depends if the chrome has flaked off, or it it's just rust growth outside the chrome. Need to see what's under the rust, it might be salvageable

Setting up front and rear mech’s

yes I was just going to say, looks like the wrong cable routing at the mech, this would explain why you can't shift it anywhere

    Salmon 753: Freuler head tube?

yes on a frame that small, only used to allow a higher than normal stem position without looking too weird. On larger frames they're used to effectively lower the TT and help keep some stiffness in the frame (the largest steel colnagos are the most well known of these cases)

    Chrome plating aluminium

Why not just polish the alloy parts? You can obtain a finish not far off the shinyness (is that even a word?) of chrome, without the risk of it delaminating
