Thanks. I'd forgotten about this thread, it's nearly 3 years since the last reply!
To be honest I haven't ridden this for a couple of years as the rear wheel is slightly out of true and I haven't got round to fixing it. It has the original spokes and I'm torn between replacing them or not...
Just a quick note about Peugeot frames. Some of them have a 24mm seat post and they are virtually impossible to find nowadays. I know you're looking for a complete bike but just in case you were tempted by a project bear that in mind.
Also, I have recently been riding a 501 framed bike for work...
TGR, your interest in this is appreciated but don't forget there are two victims in this. I paid hard earned money to a shop for this bike which I potentially might not get back. Be patient and let us get on with it and we/I will update as and when possible.

Yes That definitely sounds like my world too. Whenever I do a job that requires tools I always allow double the time I think I need. The first half is spent finding the tools! The second half doing the job and drinking coffee. Then my least favourite part, putting the tools in a place where I...
I know this thread was a while ago now but look what I found. I was trashing some old floppy discs before I threw them out and these fell out from under the metal sliding bit. Not saying they will fit anything but they might make a good start if someone needed to make a new pawl spring for...

Ian.
Turns out I have bought a stolen bike so have withdrawn it from sale and contacted the owner who is another Retrobike member.
I bought from a shop in all innocence and I still have my receipt so hopefully I can get my money back.
Ian.
I've just listed my Reynold 853 Raleigh Special Products Division bike on ebay. Item number 151024220982 or http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151024220982? ... 1558.l2649
Any trial welcomed.
Cheers,
Ian.
I was in Poundland in Birmingham yesterday (the one by the train station) and came across a book called "Bikie" by Charlie woods. Was on a 2 for £1 deal and they had quite a few copies. Looks good so far but have only read the first chapter. £7.19 at Amazon...
A Google of Oil Hole Covers took me straight to The Nipple Shop
But it is actually what you're after and they're based in Bolton.
It never occured to me that these things would still be available so it's very good to know. They may have minimum orders though but as they are in...
