I had a Raleigh Sprint, 83 I think it was, bought in 85. All white with red bar tape and frame stickers

I paid £80 for one that’s pretty much original and mint, that was a couple of years ago when prices were a bit silly. A great bike for the price though.

£220, but it came with a fancy saddle that I didn’t like, sold that on eBay for £42, and put the white one on, much more comfortable and looks better

Those were the tyres it came with. The semi slick front makes it surprisingly fast. I’ve got another that was included in the sale, I’m tempted to put it on the back just to see what difference it makes. The previous (and only previous) owner sold it because he’s got back into road bikes.

I only joined today, lots of interesting threads on here. I picked this one up yesterday, 1999 Marin Muirwoods. Apart from a few tiny scuffs it’s almost mint. I’m a bit reluctant to use it off road....
