Quite often see nice 26” tourers that don’t seem to get picked up on the radar, there’s this George Longstaff: https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/george-longstaff.493093/
23” roberts with 26” wheels...
First reasonably decent ride on this bike, getting to know it a little better. Sorted a few annoying bits and bobs. Shortened the chain, tightened the headset, and what I thought was a squeaky saddle, turned out to be loose seatpost bolts - doh! Happy it doesn’t need replacing as the wtb is...
Anyone got a reasonably decent WTB SST saddle they’d let go of?
I’m after an all leather version (rather than with Kevlar corners). Chrome or Ti rails - not bothered. Doesn’t need to be perfect, just reasonably good condition as it’s for a rider.
Thanks!
Oh yes, ideally located in the UK -...
The Swiss Army knife of bikes indeed! Love all the experimentation. I think the first version is my fave, with the ultra short stem and drop bars. I’d be interested to know what those black v-brakes are?
That’s looking really nice, I agree - it’s such an iconic bike from that era, love the fade and bold lettering. Also really like the muddy fox lugs compared to Raleigh etc of that era.
