For Sale 1978 Gazelle Champion Mondial 60cm

Up for sale is my Gazelle Champion Mondial road bike. Pearlescent white over half chrome stays and forks. It rides very smoothly and quietly and handles well at speed. The wheelset is particularly nice. I don't want to break it up again, I'd rather it went to a good home, I don't want to put it...

    Gazelle Champion Mondial

Hello, I'm thinking of selling my Gazelle Champion Mondial road bike. I'm not really asking what its worth, but I'd like an honest opinion, before I put it in the for sale thread, whether £300 ono is too much to ask. I built it up about 10 years ago and it has served me well, but after some...

Hi Pete, You can get 1/4" press in oiler cups from RDGtools.co.uk for £1.55. They are deep in the catalogue under "Grease Cups, Oilers... / Everything Else Lubrication", or try 'veloheaven' on ebay. My spokes were 296mm for the front wheel, and 302mm & 304mm for the rear wheel. Talk to Mick...

Hi Pete, Sorry to disappoint, but that frame has remnants of "Golden Wings" decals on the down tube, so it is not a ToB. It dates from around 1957. I wouldn't mind one of these, but not this one. Oh and it definitely does not have Nervex lugs, BSA through and through! .

1954 BSA Tour of Britain Sports

Hi Pete, I have collected some numbers of this model of bike. I would say yours is certainly 1954. Mine is L6678 and is definitely 1954, plus I have a record of L50818 from the VCC register, which is also dated to 1954. The "Astleys of Oldham Ledger", also from the VCC archive, has a further 8...

Good work on that frame Peetee. How did the Lloyds decals compare to the originals? My seat tube roundel has leaves around it but Lloyds don't seem to do that one. I'd also be interested to hear your frame number. I guess it might have an E prefix if its a Raleigh job.

Wow, good work there. It looks stunning. Touch-up or respray on the paintwork?

Have got some Halo Aerotrack rims on Shimano 6-bolt disc hubs from my recently decommissioned Kaffenback. They have done about 2300 miles, but are in very good condition. They have stainless spokes. How about £90 posted? (UK mainland). No rotors, but I can include the used 9-speed cassette...

No PM here, but I got an email on the 6th and replied to you, including the decal image, on the 9th. You need white "Bluemels Lightweight" mudguards. They crop up on the bay now and then for around £25. I got a good set for £20 and an incomplete set for £8 - made a really good set from the 2...
