Got a dawes Edge One SS & thought I'd ask, bike only used for mild travel. Use vybe 27.2 x 400 suspension seatpost with a descent long shim in the 30.4 frame. Is that OK or am I risking frame crack with this combo ? & the post goes into frame about 180 mm fyi as bike only needs a 350 mm, 399...

A 26 inch single speed wheelset that accomdates a white industries hub & is minium 19 mm internal prefer 20/23, it's rim brakes so req plenty of wear left & strong double wall. Whilst it's not for an expensive bike will consider differing budgets as just got xt brakes & only part of bike bar...

Use carbon sumo seatpost, everything else was kind of costly miss guided enthusiam, might aswell of just sent a cheque to Ebay for £300 instead !
