gonna start this out by stating that I am, and will likely always be a steel guy. and, I live on an island in the pacific at sea level - I can literally chuck a rock a rock out out my window into it. now forgive my ignorance, but I heard somewhere that salt is bad for carbon fibre. used to work w/a kid who rode a fancy carbon fibre bike to work everyday and I told him he was crazy for riding that thing out here. I assume their is some sort of clear protective coating over the frame, but still - you'd never get me on one of those things...
