Just accompanied the wife to Asda as had to go to their chemist for some antibiotics for the little one. So off she went to the chemist and off I headed to the magazine isle. Low and behold to my delight there was the June issue of MBR with free socks and Asda had it on special offer for £3.50 :shock:

A few points from my snot ridden state of shouting at dust-

The first generation XT hydraulics were Grimeca. I'm happy to be corrected though.

The groupset ensemble includes the Deore touring groupset - Bad MBR for not sourcing a good pic, Shimano SL-M700 thumbies are a work of art.

'you never see the proper cranks' jeeze, I have at least 3 sets, 2 on the original rings (one set is too worn though). The Yeti's rings should be silver with a black Biopace II decal?

Comments on the brakes is fair enough but it sound like they havent been set up properly. As for the gears though, they were available with a 32t rear which would have helped.

Greatest moment in Shimano shifting? Slant parallelogram rear mechs and Hyperglide, both still around today...
