Retro Newbie
here we have my Raleigh

i bought it from a friend who got it from "a guy at work". when he got it, it had suntour D/T shifters and mechs. he then set about building it with a 10speed 105 group and a set and cheap cassette wheels. he then sold it to me for £100, after selling the 105 and the wheels the frame set ended up making me around £15.

since iv had it its been built a few different ways,
1. single speed with flat bars.. 39-14 ratio
2. single speed with drops.. 39-14
3. 9 speed with drops tiagra/105.. 42-12/23
4. single speed with flat bars (again).. 42-16
5. as you see it now with 1980's 3ttt time trial bars (minus the extensions) mud guards and rack..42-16 ratio

if anyone can shed some light on the age and model of the original bike it would be much appreciated

Thanks
Stu

Some close up pics of the lugs/dropouts/braize ons would help no end, has it got a chain hanging braize on (on the seat stays)? A serial number would help too.
