Wanted TREK - grey fleece drawstring top beanie type hat - 1994?

Hello all, does anyone have a grey fleece TREK drawstring top hat from the mid '90's please? Mine is starting to look a bit worn out. Would like another. Let me know if you can help. Thanks. Jon

Are we nearly there yet? (More geometry nonsense)

Wheelbases are now too long, IMO. It might make a bike more stable downhill and at speed, but 'stable' doesn't mean it handles well. I'm not finding my new bike that exciting to ride. There is definitely a lot more work to be done on geometry. And suspension damping.

    The unicorn bike paradox

My unicorn would be my '92 Roberts White Spider Pro that I sold in 1996. I worked and saved hard as a kid to have that made for me. It was every bit as good to ride as I hoped it would. I can clearly remember bringing the frame home on the train from Croydon and building it up in my bedroom. In...

Any parents able to help? 6 year old MTB'ers - How far is too far?

Hmm, now i've weighed it, i'm tempted to try and get it sub-10kg... lol ;) No, not changed the tyres. I quite like the feel of the 2.25 crown gem tyres, but hadn't appreciated they weighed 755g each. I have taken the tubes out and made it tubeless. Not sure that really achieved much - the...

Any parents able to help? 6 year old MTB'ers - How far is too far?

My daughter's Islabikes Creig 24 is 10.5kg. Can't see any point in rear suspension at this age/size - they need to learn how to use their legs to weight/unweight the rear wheel properly first. Happy with it having suspension forks, as they help provide more confidence and predicatbility in the...

You can upgrade them with a 4.5v block battery with the spring terminals on top, if they still make them. Extra brightness and lower weight!:)

dirt jump frame rear hub spacing

Advice please. If I was to buy a dirt jump frame to build up a bike, what rear hub spacing should I choose? Options look like 135 x 10 or 142 x 12 Is the 142 what is called 'boost'? Is that width necessary on a single speed?

Sold 1993 Flite Titanium Saddle - NOW £50

1993 Flite Titanium Saddle. Excellent condition - no scuffs on the corners or nose. There is one very small partial cut mark in the leather. It's about 4mm long (rear right) but doesn't look like it all the way through, but I don't want to pull at it to see. NOW £50 + postage. :xmas-big-grin:

Interesting way to photograph a bike

Re: BMW M2 - "drives like new" except for the headlight fault warning on the dashboard and the broken door mirror. Why are so many items £xx.33 - what is it with the 33p ?? That has wasted 5 minutes of my life but made me smile. :D
