Sooooo, took delivery of this at this year's malverns classic, many many thanks to @al for letting me have the opportunity to be a custodian.

A long time ago, either 92 or 93 I remembered being outside a papershop buying sweets en route to Newnham for a 7up or maybe the first grundigs and outside was a team Peugeot/look livered allsop and it was amazing! Never seen one in real until that day and justnlike the slingshots, draw the eye in somewhat. Never saw the Peugeot bike or rider again but bit stuck. I prayed I'd win the one in mbuk hut alas, no joy.

Fast forward to this year and when Al said this had my name on it I felt like a youth again!!!! A plan was hatched an tonight is the night I strip it all down. The plan is to repaint in funky and not very subtle as it's showing its age a bit and needs a freshen up. Change the groupset to either xtr or xt a add some amberwalls I reckon. This will be a long slow project as the vans still not fixed and I need to keep busy over the dark miserable nights ..... that and another rc100 project ;)

Anyway, pics from today pre strip down.

Enjoy, brother xx

Could the Pre '97 Suspension fb Group borrow it to show at York Rally 2025?

al. 😁

Always wanted one (or more likely try one!), never even seen one in the flesh. IIRC, there's one casually lying against a wall in the background inside someone's house in a famous 90s movie that escapes me.

So far all I've done is check it takes my weight..... didn't move a great deal so hoping it's a good ride.

Stripped all thenpartsnof bar the beam as I've no clue as to how it fully comes away. The pivot bolt appears to snug even with the nuts and 2 spacers removed. Don't want to try and force anything just yet so off to the depths of the interweb I'll go next week. Unless someone here has done it already and would like to help......please :)
