BETD bearing upgrade for STS (problems)

I've just done the BETD upgrade on my GT STS but it killed me putting the the bearings and spacers in. The spaces were out in a few places such as the Horst link where I had to source my own bushes to get it to fit properly. Otherwise tightening the bolts would pull the shims and bearings out of the frame...

Also I had to rummage through my bin to retrieve the original cone spacer from the bottom bracket link to actually get the BETD bearing upgrade to work.

Now, the bike has less than 100km on it so it is "as new". The bushes were so perfect I put them in my LTS.

After four emails and no replies it seems that BETD dont actually give a s**t and will not provide any help after they sell you the product. Has anyone else had issues with ill-fitting BETD bearings or is it just me.

BETD link was a tight fit on my Stumpy FSR but I think that's a good thing. You seem to have the opposite problem.

Email response can be slow. How long have you waited?

I gave up on emails eventually and used the phone. Went fine after that.

Which email addy did you use? You might want to go higher up the food chain.

I finally got a reply after 5 emails. They suggested that I check my spam folder. I don't have one. It's a great excuse though...
