Hello forum,
what would you pay for the bike on the photo? It's a 90s Hawk titanium bike. Any info about it would be greatly appreciated. :-)

I know nothing about these.

But looks like XT cranks - what's the full groupset M737?

Looks like a 1 1/8th headset too so guess with the XT it's around 1994/5.

Need better pictures and spec list for a price. But a standard titanium frame would be upwards of £80 so full bike if all XT you'd be looking at £200+ possibly more.

Depends on many factors.
A fuller description would be a start and some closer in pics.
Is it your bike or are you looking for info because you wish to buy or renovate it ?

Re:

Here are some more photos. Maybe I would like to buy this bike, but I don't know what would be a fair price.

Re:

The components seem to be OK but some pics of the frame , welds/bonds, dropouts, head tube and any unusual details would help.

OK, I''ll upload some pics tomorrow. What's your general impression? Is Hawk a company with a good reputation? I have never heard about it before.

The bits look in nice condition if not a bit grubby, but that looks minor and like theres shiny shiny underneath. If those are the original components its looks like its lead a very quiet life.

Chances are its a shop branded frame or possibly mail order similar to CRC or merlin, dressed up in a top groupset. Probably originally in the £1100 mark. It depends now who made the frame.
For this some details concerning the dropouts, welding, frame bosses and cable stops. Look everywhere if you can for frame numbers etc

Here are some detailed pics of the frame. The main tubes are made of titanium, the body rear end and the sleeves are made of steel. What do you think about the quality of this frame and how much would you pay for the whole bike?

Re:

If its "only" main tubes and rest is steel then its comparable to a dyna tech and as hawk aren't as popular, not as valuable I would say. So value mainly in groupset.

Id say £200 complete bike.

Yeah, looks in fact like those are sleeves at the joints.
Possibly Ti (or even stainless ) tubes bonded into the sleeves and then those welded together
I can understand this as Ti is a difficult material to work with issues should it be done incorrectly :?

Im plumping for that :D Ti tubes ,bonded into steel lugs then welded together

Hows that ? :D Brilliant arent we :D
