hope you got a secure garden, speaking from experience here, spaniels are absolutely mad he will find that weakness in your fence and he'll come back having rolled in something dead and possibly dark green in colour.

Water is their weak spot, my old springer actually jumped in off the harbour wall in Newquay then proceeded to climb back up the nearly vertical harbour wall much to the amusement of a large crowd- lovely dogs
