I think it's made in Italy, but I'm not so sure.

also Calfee selling mtb at the beginning of 90 years in Italy it sounds strange. :idea:

probably the bike is a Lemond by Calfee

The brand is "Carbonframes".
Craig Calfee built some bikes for Greg Lemond, road and mtb around 91-92. They made lugs with wrapping carbon fibers which makes those "gussets".
The classic frame you show is around 92, but older ones, named Onyx got elevated chainstays

I have bought it, the frame is made in Italy by FIC "Fabbrica Italiana Compositi", built by Mario Camilotto (cicli expert's and the same builder of the first colnago c40)
