I looked at a bicycle in my garage yesterday.

I saw a very fit looking guy in a red white and blue outfit running into the food stop just as I was leaving, he then ran out and jumped on his bike and as I turned for the 50k route, he went 100k.

On the main road back towards Winchcombe he came bombing past me. :shock:

I had flashbacks of Mayhem.

Excellent shots and my sort of riding. What were you on? I love how it sounds like a tube train when it starts going downhill on the tarmac

Me? No, too early. I was wearing an FFC Natoinal teamtop though, and red white blue socks and track mitts! Well, I was riding a French bike!

Probably not the best choice for the HONC but great fun on the off road bits.

Worst part was the god awful saddle which was painful after 15 miles and making my legs go numb

A chilly day, very windy too.



Starting to line up now, with 20 mins to go! 1350 were meant to turn up, but the organizer told me it's not un-common for 10% not to turn up :roll:
There were also 80 volunteers involved !

Time to wash the bike!
