Is acrylic latex paint suitable for painting frames?

I have just bought a very good Dawes Ranger. Before sale it was sprayed with 3 coats 0f satin acrylic latex paint. It looks very smart and clearly the pre painting preparation was carried out to a very good standard but despite searching I can find no information as to the suitability of acrylic latex paint forthis purpose. Does anybody have any information or experience please? Many thanks.

Be very careful cleaning it - only use natural soap and water. Harsh solvents and cleaners (such as GoofOff) will wipe the paint off...Latex based paints are not really suitable for outdoors use.
