Kona colour question

Hi there,

One of my ever-growing collection has puzzled me.
Its a Kona cindercone, looks like a '95 or '96 (I had a '95 Cindercone new) and the frame has the same detailing.
Thing is its grey metallic which has thrown me. Looks original as its scuffed to hell!

Anyone know if this was a stock colour and what year?

Is that a dark gunmetal metallic? Definitely I have seen ones like this - IIRC it was a half-year variant.
