London and surrounding rides

I've trawled through the South East section which mainly seems to cover the south coast and the Lincolnshire & East Anglia section which mainly seems to be north Lincolnshire. Besides Swinley can anyone recommend any rides in or around London? Preferably accessible by riding from North London (N4) or via public transport and preferably out in the 'countryside'.

train to Hampton Court then ride off in to deepest Surrey leading you to Oxshot heath, Ranmore Common, Boxhill & Leith hill areas are excellent xc off road cycling

I would get the train to Dorking or Leatherhead and ride out to Leith Hill and the surrounding areas.

Anyone go to Epping Forest? It's the closest to me and easiest to get to.

I ride most weekends in the downs around Dorking, I'll try and post up future rides that I'm doing.

I found Epping to be a quagmire the only time I rode it, but have heard from friends that it's a quagmire even in summer.
