Looks good Mike ; got a rough idea of intended mileage? It's easier to "sell" a ride to others if I can name a figure like that. Also ; depending on numbers/attendance it might be train or van ; is there parking near the tea shop? Cheers ; Dave

There is plenty of car parking right next to the cafe for a van, plus a big overflow , should there be more than 30 vehicles!
Not done mileage, did do the ride last wek though, basic route took 1hr 40, banging along. But there's plenty of scope to extend it.
Mtb tyres for this one mate

Re:

I'm assuming a single-speed mtb is probably not the best choice for this ride? I'm hoping I can come along. Maybe even on something Retro.

Re:

You can do it on ss Andy, there's no steep hills to consider walking up.
Retro good or modern and lemon drizzle cake is better. You have a reputation to consider after all

The only reputation I have is of having a predilection for lemon drizzle cake!

I had to look that up then!

Went to the cafe for, er, research purposes on Sunday. I can confirm they have your favourite cake. Not sure how well it will travel in a CamelBak though. Strictly apres-ride I tink

darn, i'm back in the area and would loved to have picked up these trails but I have my son until later that morning so will just miss your start time.

Hope I can catch the next ride

Yeah noted ; what kind of idiot would bring 1.1 slicks out?  Also ; 1hr 40 for you equates to maybe 3 hours for me

@ KeepItSteel ; due to the unique way British Snail is funded ; I'm pretty much certain to be at least a few minutes late ; maybe that would help you? Can't speak for anyone else but surely one more rider is worth a short wait :D

Re:

I think that very much depends on how long the wait is

Went on the Downs tonight, seems pretty good at the moment.

Bike choice decided 8)

Were we talking before the start?

The way our region works, That next ride will probably be in 2016 !
