It's finished, a quick (road) ride around the block confirms all gears change as they should, suspension travels as it should and the tyres stay inflated ;-)
The 2.35 tyres make it hard work but up the mountains and in the wadi's around here they're required.
Still haven't taken any photos as it's dark when I leave for work in the mornings, and dark when I return in the evenings.
Will take it out in to the mountains or desert to get some nice shots soon, I promise.

My first ride of the 405 today in the mountains about an hour's drive away from Dubai city, but still within the Emirate (although you have to drive through an International Border (Oman) to get to it) and it rides better than I imagined. Climbs, descends (although need a dropper) corners, you name it - everything a bike should, I guess?

My first ride of the 405 today in the mountains about an hour's drive away from Dubai city, but still within the Emirate (although you have to drive through an International Border (Oman) to get to it) and it rides better than I imagined. Climbs, descends (although need a dropper) corners, you name it - everything a bike should, I guess?

- Pace RC40 Factory Limited forks
- Works Components 1.5deg angle headset
- Stans Flow EX rims on Hope Pro II Evo hubs (anodised red)
- Kenda Nevegal Pro DTC UST Tyre running tubeless
- Hope Tech X2 brakes front and rear with 203mm floating front and 183mm floating rear disc (anodised red)
- Middleburn RS8 double chainring with Middleburn bash guard
- Hope Stainless bottom bracket (anodised red)
- Crankbrothers Candy 3 pedals
- XTR M896 10-speed Front & Rear Derailleur with matching shifters,
- XT 10 speed rear cassette
- XTR Chain
- Hope 90mm stem
- USE Carbon riders
- Peaty grips
- Raceface seatpost
- Charge Spoon saddle in red
Think that's about it. I plan to replace the seat post soon with a dropper as the local trails are very up and down, with some quick, steep descents.
Now to get out there and enjoy this thing!
