Ravenscar Railway ride Aftermath

Re:

Nice one guys!

Very cold and damp start, didn't get much better but nothing like bad weather.

There's something about that track in places, as though it's been re-surfaced. ok when dry, but kinda sticky to ride through when wet!
My legs are heavy now. moaning over!

Nice to see you all. Plenty of retro bikes there too! The murky mist prevented some better pictures, the light was so bad, i've ditched most of my fotos.

I found a nice, easy-going atmosphere today, that can only be a good thing. I have a rejuvenated interest in these old bikes, got a reason to tinker with the ridgeback and, get some suspension forks on it.

Hope there's some better pics than mine :)

Re:

Was a good ride today, the rain held off and the route was relatively mud free.
Fish & Chips were good too :)
Good to see some old faces and meet new ones, was it a record turnout today??

Photos....

The amassed crowd of retro bikers waiting for the film crew to get on with it...

Harrycrumb had the pint of milk and loaf of bread stolen off the back of his bike while he was in the Chippy

Beach invasion...

The sun did try and make an appearance near the end of the ride.

Re:

What a good ride out. Great turn out too, considering the weather when most of us set off to get there. Was ok once we set off riding, and was milder than expected. Good to catch up with some I haven't seen since the last ride here. Ken on top form, but sorry can't quite remember which quote of the day... there's often many!
Was a good atmosphere from arriving, to departing, and I think most came away with a little something to tinker with!
Hope to be at the next one.
Some good pics there too.

Re:

Yeah, great ride and thank you to Matthew and Stu for leading in Verns absence..

Fish and chips were as good as ever and not even Daniel Day Bloody Lewis could spoil our day! I'd have paid good money though to see him climb out of robin Hoods Bay on Martins shopping Giant though...

Kens quote of the ride.

To set the scene, Ken has just been reunited with his Salsa Fargo, after kindly letting me ride it for a bit (epic bike by the way..). He wasn't quite so impressed with my Cotic, namely some of the steering apparatus...

Ken: "Them grips... it feels like you're just holding the handlebars..."

Stu: "Well you are Ken..."

Ken will tell you that isn't what he meant... but...

A few murky pics...

YMCA.

Quite possibly a former member of The Village People.

In the Station.

The Chippy.

I can see the sea from 'ere...

Resting after the long drag back up from RBH.

One for Instagram!

Great day out as always great to see chrisv40 again and that ken on great form even made it home on time bonus.
