There's no polite way to put this... Saddles for fat blokes?

Like I say, no real polite way to ask, so might as well just come out and say it!

I'm a lot fatter than I once was, and now I'm looking to get back into cycling to lose some weight. Now I don't intend to do anything other than country parks or footpaths for a while, but until I slim down enough to be able to fit my ass on a flite, can someone suggest the best/most comfortable seat for a fat bloke!!! ;)

Many thanks in advance, and no more shouting who ate all the pies!!

I'm 130kg's... and I ride Prologo seats, but they are a bit more modern. Really comfortable though.
Or you could just get one of these :D

While you may be carrying a few extra kilos the sit bones on your pelvis will remain the same. So if a Flite fitted before then it should fit now.

A saddle with a narrower nose may also help reduce rubbing if you have chunky thighs but so will a good pair of shorts.

What Andrewl said. I'm considerably larger than I once was but still found a flite th most comfortable option when getting back in the saddle after 10 years.

As above but I put regular Flite Ti's on my bikes for aesthetic purposes and 'leisurely' riding only, fitting Flite Max TransAm's for serious riding as they are that much more comfortable; though if you are going to be in a more 'upright' riding position something like that pictured above probably would be better afterall...

17 1/2 stone and riding a flite.

you might not be able to see the saddle when i am on it but it fits perfectly

Another for the Flite scenario.

Way heavier now than I was BITD.

I found perseverance to be the key.

With a modern view I found these to be excellent and more than comfortable enough for all day in the saddle:

Only downside is that its quite expensive in Ti format.
