Weekend riding...

Thanks to Max, myself and Piperdave got out today too, lovely sunshine, hideous mud! And some bizarre moments too, such as bumping into a group of WW2 reenactors in full German army uniform out for a jolly! Also saw a police helicopter supposedly picking up a dead mountain biker although whether that was true or not remains to be seen.

Aching like fook now, and my gooch/guillem as taken a hammering but a curry and a few beers are helping dramatically!!

Thanks Max and good to see you again Dave, hopefully time for a beer next time!

As above....great ride, lots of sun, and mud, good company, no breakdowns, and only one outage...ooppps  .

Clearly showing the flooding at Arundel

Sunlit path....this is why :D

About halfway round, before it got knee deep in mud.....

Max, looking pensive

Thanks guys......

Max, could you put up a GPS of the route? I think it was about 16 miles.

Really ache this morning from the outage, and saddle sore as well

Is Ross holding a miniature Public Bridleway sign ?

Dylan would have taken some photos of our ride , but I think he was too fcuked !
And I didn't want to photograph a man in distress , I'm not that heartless

The section above Long Furlong down to Patching was fairly horrid, with various rubbish bits in between. I could actually stand my bike up in one place! The ride itself was great, but a combo of a long time since my last ride (and Dave's) and the mud made it a bit more interesting shall we say....

I know how fast these trails usually are so it was amazing to see how much impact the weather has had. Looking forward to them drying out, at least a bit!

The section you mentioned is terrible , due in the main to horse riders churning it up . I go walking there sometimes , last time I did , I saw a new mud avoidance path that had been created by horses to avoid the shyte they had made !

Hi
Hmm this was the "easy" loop that was described to me then eh lol ! no comments on what is easy and what is not either thanks Mr Muz  That section along the ridge and into the woods was like that when i rode it 15 years ago , stupid deep sticky mud with the trail being made wider and more unrideable by constant horse traffic

Cheers Paul
