What GT is this?

Been asked by a m8 if we could identify his ride for him. All i have to go on is he bought it 2nd hand a few years ago but he doesn't know how long that geezer had it for.

There are only decals saying GT All Terra on it; no model identification at all. The rear mech looks like an STX and he is running 7 speeds. I point I would query is that even though he is running a HG30 block and I'm guessing a HG chain, his front chainset has markings on it saying IG chains only!

Anyhoose, here is a picture of said beast.

I have his bike in my garage at the mo sorting out his gears (he's not looked after it bless him) so I'll hopefully be able to answer any further question you may have in aiding all you GT Druids out there identifying this Steed.

Further clues to the bike's identity (maybe :? )

Front mech was a FD-MC14 tp (now replaced with a bp LX mech seen in the pic)
Brake levers BL-510
Rear mech RD-MC34
shifters BL-MC40

Check if the end plate of the top-tube is curved and if the serial number is under the bottom bracket shell.

I'd say a Backwoods by the low-spec cranks & forks.

I've managed to date the front mech as a 98 Alivio and the shifters and rear mech as 98 STX.

Any help?

I'd go with Arrowhead -just sold one with the same mix of kit.
