Found this whilst rummaging through the internet last night!

Ahhh more pic's of the Forks !! 8) Wonder who owned that frame? The forks must of matched a frame which had the same kind of colour scheme at some point.

Re:

Looking good Chris. Certainly better than the last time I saw it.

Are you going for a black XT build or am just imagining that because of the covetous way you were looking at the black XT chainset you found in my workshop?

EDIT: Just seen the wanted ad in your signature so I guess that's a yes.

Ahhh ....good find! The Greeper text was a sticker so that could be them! Thats a later 92 frame, a lot of work went into that paint job ....still not sure I like it though :?

I did some more digging last night and the paint was offered by the Swiss distributer Sevysa, so not a one off. Interestingly this bike is in Indonesia here, which is where I've found quite a few of Funk's rarer models over the last few weeks. How it got there is anyone's guess! I guess this clears up that little mystery?

The cable stops on the toptube are welded i.e. Durango (>'92) but the two on the seat stay are screwed in i.e. Pro-Comp ('90-'91). The fork almost certainly hasn't been changed, so is this somewhere in the middle i.e. very late '91?

I’ve been so lazy updating this thread with more pics! Thanks for everyone who voted for it in Jan’s botm comp 👍🏼
My vision for it turned out exactly how I wanted it to. This bike gives me all the feels everytime I look at it!

I managed to get down to the Malverns Classic festival this year. First time I'd been to this event actually and it was a blast. I took the Funk with me and had it on display at the Retrobike stand for the weekend. I entered it into the "Muc Off Show and shine" competition on the Sunday morning. Despite not making it into the top 10 bikes chosen I think the bike was admired by a lot of people.

Doddy from GMBN seemed to like it from his review of the event (skip to 19m 30s in) :

F**ked up with the brakes  .....only fitted them the night before going to the event and I didn't know!
