Greetings, Another question....
I'm looking at a Super Record 8 speed free hub that is NOS and described as from the early 90's. It has the aluminum free hub body, and based on the looks of it, I'd say it's from the 1993 product year. The Campy description states that both steel and the dedicated aluminum cassettes will work with it, but "it will only work with early 8 speed cogs that have splines all the same size". That is a quote from the description on the eBay listing.
Would it be safe to assume that because these two hubs, Super Record and Record are both form the same product year and groupo that the aluminum free hub body from the Super Record would fit on to the Record body? Cheers.
