Route starts at sutton bank and heads east through old byland on tarmac before cutting down a bridle the comes out at the back of Ashbury woods. Past Rievalaux Abbey and a bridle through the woods to Newgate Bank top, east over Helmsley moor, down Carlton Bank (not the same as this ride), over the edge of Roppa Moor and through the trees back to the chop gate road. Then a short tarmac climb followed by singletrack north, around the top of Bilsdale, south again on a bridle back to Hawnby and its pub, before swinging west and onto a drove road into Thorodale. Another climb brings up onto open moorland and a sheep track back to the cleveland way above High Paradise Farm. Final stretch with big views south along the escarpment above Boltby takes us back past high barn to Sutton Bank. 24 miles in total. 95% off road.

nice loop that one! you could always drop into boltby forest and do a few laps if you have time!

Some of my pics from the ride.
It was excellent.
